Christopher Terek, a 6-foot-6 and 295-pound offensive tackle from Glen Ellyn, Ill., publicly announced his commitment to Wisconsin on Wednesday. Terek picked Wisconsin after using official visits in June on Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and most recently Iowa.

Terek becomes the 13th committed prospect in Wisconsin’s 2023 recruiting class and the seventh to commit this month, as the Badgers have been on a successful run following official campus visits. He is also the fifth player in his class from the state of Illinois to select Wisconsin.

Wisconsin has two offensive linemen committed in the class. The other player, James Durand from Chandler, Ariz., projects on the interior. The Badgers were in need of reinforcements with three seniors on the roster for next season: Tyler Beach, Michael Furtney and Cormac Sampson.

Terek, a three-star prospect rated as the No. 54 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite, had just two Power 5 scholarship offers from Kansas and Duke before his recruitment exploded in May. He earned offers from schools such as Boston College, Iowa State, Vanderbilt, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Kentucky and Missouri. Iowa was considered to be the frontrunner for Terek before he ultimately chose Wisconsin.
