Arena, a three-star offensive tackle from Bishop McDevitt in Harrisburg, Pa., committed to Virginia Tech on Friday.
Virginia Tech got its third offensive line pledge in the 2023 class when Gabriel Arena, out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, announced his commitment Friday on Twitter.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Arena plays at Bishop McDevitt High and was first offered a scholarship by Virginia Tech’s previous coaching staff in April 2021. Arena had 20 offers, including from Ivy League schools Harvard, Princeton and Dartmouth, though Virginia Tech was his only one from the Power 5.
Arena is a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 25 player in Pennsylvania in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He joins Lance Williams and Hannes Hammer as offensive line commitments in the class, which has four total pledges.
