Everton are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal for Harry Winks.
Frank Lampard has lost both Fabian Delph and Donny van de Beek – who spent the second half of last season on loan from Manchester United – this summer.
Everton are now in the early stages of talks for Winks as they look to improve their midfield options.
Winks came through Tottenham's academy and broke into the first team in 2014. He has made 128 league appearances for the club. The 26-year-old has also been capped 10 times by England but last featured in 2020.
Tottenham are also on the cusp of letting Steven Bergwijn leave north London this summer.
Negotiations with Ajax are ongoing about some of the details of the deal but there is confidence an agreement will be struck. The Dutch side are expected to pay an initial fee of around £21.5 million for Bergwijn.
