Detroit Tigers top prospect Riley Greene went 2-for-3 with two walks to reach base four times in his MLB debut vs. the Texas Rangers on Saturday.

Greene singled to left on a 1-0 pitch in his first major-league at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, and added another on an 0-2 count in the bottom of the eighth. The 21-year-old outfielder scored two runs in the Tigers' 14-7 victory.

Greene, who batted sixth in Saturday's lineup, becomes the first MLB player to reach base safely four times in his debut since Baltimore's Cedric Mullins in 2018, and first Tiger to accomplish the feat since Scott Livingstone in 1991.

Greene, the fifth overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, is the Tigers' top prospect and the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline. He was left off Detroit's Opening Day roster after fracturing his foot in spring training.

The Tigers' 14 runs Saturday were a season high. They improve to 25-40 with the win and currently sit in fourth place in the AL Central.
