The future is now in Detroit as outfielder Riley Greene is set to make his Tigers debut on Saturday against the Texas Rangers, the team announced Friday. Greene, the fifth overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, is the Tigers' top prospect and the No. 2 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline.

The 21-year-old was left off the Opening Day roster after fracturing his foot in spring training. His emergence could provide an immediate, needed boost to the Tigers' struggling offense, which is averaging an MLB-worst 2.68 runs per game.

Greene is batting .291 in his minor-league career, clobbering 50 home runs across all three levels of the minors.
