The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing free agent and former Bengals DT Larry Ogunjobi to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.Ogunjobi now finds a home...
Ogunjobi now finds a home after initially agreeing to sign with the Chicago Bears in March. That deal fell through due to a failed physical, the Bears said.
That deal was reportedly for three years and worth $40.5 million, including $26.35 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports.
Ogunjobi posted a career-high seven sacks, a team-high 12 tackles for loss and 16 QB hits last season for a Cincinnati team that made an improbable run to the Super Bowl. He sustained a foot injury against the Las Vegas Raiders in the wild-card round and underwent surgery in January.
The 27-year-old started 16 games in 2021 after four years with the Browns, where he had 14.5 sacks. Ogunjobi played college football at Charlotte and was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.Steelers sign DT Larry Ogunjobi - The Athletic View Story
