Inter Milan have completed the signing of Romelu Lukaku on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Chelsea paid Inter £97.5 million last summer to re-sign the Belgium international but his return did not go to plan last season.
New co-owner Todd Boehly has now sanctioned a temporary exit in the hope it benefits all parties, with Lukaku contracted to Chelsea until 2026 and Inter keen for the forward to help them reclaim the title they lost to AC Milan last season.
The deal was held up earlier this month by Inter president Steven Zhang, who is understood to have baulked at the requested loan fee and wages. Chelsea wanted a guaranteed €10 million and expected Inter to cover the player's full salary.
That issue has now been resolved, with Lukaku returning to the San Siro on a season-long loan as he bids to kick-start his career once more.
Lukaku made 26 Premier League appearances for Chelsea in 2021-22 — 10 from the bench — and scored eight goals.
The striker could feature in Inter's first game of the 2022-23 Serie A season away at Leece on August 14.
