Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey had surgery to repair one of the AC joint (shoulder) injuries he played through last season, a source told The Athletic on Wednesday. He is expected to be fully cleared by the start of the 2022 season.
A non-surgical route was considered for Ramsey, but ultimately he opted for the procedure.
Ramsey was able to participate in training workouts and on-field work through the spring but mentioned earlier this year on “The Pivot” podcast that he had played through dual sprained AC joints in 2021 for about half the season.
