The Predators have signed coach John Hynes to a new multiyear contract, according to a source.
An announcement is expected Thursday, when Hynes and Predators general manager David Poile will hold their end-of-season news conference.
Hynes, whom the Predators hired in January 2020, has a 92-64-10 record (.584 points percentage). Nashville has not won a postseason series in three tries under Hynes, losing 11 of 14 games.
The Predators were 45-30-7 this season, finishing in the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference. They were swept by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs.
