Senior vice president of player development Pierre McGuire is no longer a member of the Ottawa Senators organization, the team confirmed to The Athletic on Monday.
"We thank Pierre for his contributions and wish him the best in his future endeavours," the Senators said.
McGuire, 60, was hired by the Senators last July. Previously, he spent 24 years as a hockey broadcaster working in both radio and television.
During a prior stint in the NHL, he first worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Hartford Whalers, serving as head coach of the latter during the 1993-94 season. He was once a scout-turned-assistant coach with the Senators.
