Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby exited Wednesday's game against the New York Rangers in the second period and did not return at the start of the third period.

Crosby left late in the second period following a high hit from Jacob Trouba. He headed to the Penguins' bench before later heading to the dressing room.

After the second period's conclusion, ESPN's Emily Kaplan reported on the broadcast that Crosby was still being evaluated and there was not an official update on his status.
