Unranked Florida State came out on top in a game that saw 19 lead changes, upsetting No. 6 Duke 79-78 in overtime on Tuesday night. This is the Blue Devils' second loss to an unranked team in 11 days, after they were defeated by Miami on Jan. 8

Florida State (11-5) has now won 13 consecutive overtime games, an all-time record in Division I men's basketball history.

Duke (14-3) hit its stride at the end of the first half and went into halftime with a five-point lead, but Florida State came out hot in the second half and quickly erased it. The Blue Devils trailed for the majority of the second half, with the Seminoles leading by as much as nine points with a little less than seven minutes left to play.

After trailing for the better part of 16 minutes, Duke tied it with a minute to play before Paolo Banchero hit AJ Griffin with a no-look pass for the short jumper that gave the Blue Devils a two-point lead. Florida State's RayQuan Evans answered with a tough fading layup to tie the game and send it to overtime.

The two teams went back-and-forth during OT, exchanging baskets before Duke dribbled down the court trailing by one with 12 seconds left. However, Duke couldn't pull off the win as Wendell Moore Jr. drove to the basket and was blocked. The ball got kicked out past half court as the time wound down, sealing the victory for the Seminoles.

Duke had a scare when Trevor Keels went down as his right leg folded awkwardly underneath him. The freshman guard had to be helped up and initially couldn't put any pressure on the leg, but was able to gingerly walk on it as he made his way to the locker room. After the game, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said it was a calf injury but they didn't know the extent of the injury yet.

Caleb Mills, who hit a big 3-pointer in OT to keep the Seminoles neck-and-neck with Duke, had a team-leading 18 points, while Banchero posted a double-double for Duke with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

With Tuesday's win, Seminoles coach Leonard Hamilton now has the most wins (55) against a ranked opponent as an unranked team. It was Krzyzewski's seventh loss at FSU.
