Major League Baseball's Friday slate has a washout after six games have been postponed due to rain. The Dodgers-Cubs, Pirates-Reds, Orioles-Royals, Mets-Phillies, Rangers-Yankees and Blue Jays-Guardians will not play on Friday night.

The six rainouts mark the most MLB postponements in a single day since April 15, 2018, when six games were also called off due to inclement weather. Prior to that, the league had last postponed six games on Sept. 12, 2008, partly due to Hurricane Ike.

Most teams have rescheduled Friday's postponed games as doubleheaders this weekend. The Blue Jays-Guardians and Dodgers-Cubs will play doubleheaders on Saturday. The Rangers-Yankees and Orioles-Royals will host their doubleheaders on Sunday.

The Reds and Pirates will make up their game as part of a split doubleheader on July 7. The Phillies have rescheduled their game against the Mets for Aug. 20.
