The Mets just keep rolling — even down six runs in the ninth inning on the road. New York put up seven runs in the top of the ninth Thursday against the Phillies, coming back from a 7-1 deficit to win 8-7.

The onslaught began with a two-run homer from Francisco Lindor off Phillies pitcher James Norwood with Starling Marte on base. The rest came via the small ball, including a Pete Alonso double, a Jeff McNeil single, a Mark Canha single, a J.D. Davis double, a Brandom Nimmo single and then a double from Marte.

Closer Edwin Diaz retired Philadelphia in order to close out the game. The Phillies had gotten out to an early lead with four runs in the bottom of the first, then added another in the second and two more in the fourth.

The Mets are now 19-9 on the season, taking the lead for most wins in the majors.
