Liverpool will hold a victory parade in the city on Sunday, May 29 from 4pm if they win the Premier League, Champions League or both.

Liverpool City Council confirmed plans for the proposed parade on Friday after Jurgen Klopp's side progressed to the final of the Champions League.

The proposed date falls on the anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster so there will also be a tribute to the 39 supporters who lost their lives in 1985.

Liverpool's victory parade will start at Allerton Maze before travelling on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover. The route will finish at Blundell Street.

Liverpool previously held a victory parade in 2019 after beating Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final.

Klopp's side will face Real Madrid in this year's Champions League final in Paris on May 28.

They are also battling it out to win the Premier League title with Liverpool just one point behind leaders Manchester City with four games left to play.

Liverpool host Tottenham in the league on Saturday evening.
