Justin Edwards is committing to the Kentucky Wildcats, he announced on Monday. Edwards is the No. 3 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
The 6-foot-7 wing from Philadelphia plays high school basketball at the Imhotep Institute. Edwards averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds, hit 43 3-pointers, led Imhotep Institute to its eighth state championship and won Pennsylvania’s Class 5A Player of the Year as a junior. He selected Kentucky over Tennessee.
Edwards is the third commitment to Kentucky in its 2023 class, joining Robert Dillingham (point guard) and Reed Sheppard (combo guard). Kentucky is ranked No. 3 for its 2023 class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
The Wildcats finished 26-8 last season before losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to No. 15-seed Saint Peter's.
