Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag sealed his third league title at Ajax by defeating Heerenveen 5-0 in his last home league game at the club.
Ten Hag, who will take over the reins from Manchester United in the summer after agreeing an initial three-year deal in April, saw his side storm into a 3-0 lead within 38 minutes.
Nicolas Tagliafico, Steven Berghuis, Sebastien Haller, Brian Brobbey and Edson Alvarez scored the goals which sealed Ajax the league title ahead of rivals PSV Eindhoven, who are four points behind with a game to go.
Ajax's 36th league title victory was the perfect sign off for Ten Hag at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Ten Hag has previously won the league title with Ajax in 2019 and 2021. His side were also top of the table during the 2019-20 campaign but the season was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 52-year-old's last game in charge of Ajax will come away at Vitesse on Sunday.
He will then turn his attention to Manchester United, who were beaten 4-0 by Brighton at the weekend.
Ralf Rangnick's interim spell in charge at Old Trafford will end on May 22 at Crystal Palace.
Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League. They will qualify for next season's Europa League if they finish above seventh-placed West Ham.Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wins Dutch league title in final Ajax home match - The Athletic View Story
