No. 5 Texas A&M is now the highest-ranked team remaining in the College World Series after No. 2 Stanford was eliminated by No. 14 Auburn on Monday afternoon. It was the first time the Cardinal — playing in their 18th CWS — were eliminated in two games. Auburn closer Blake Burkhalter struck out five in the final 2 1/3 innings to nail down the victory and earn his 16th save.

Ole Miss improved to 2-0 in Omaha with an impressive 13-5 victory over Arkansas later on Tuesday. The Rebels are 7-0 in the NCAA Tournament and are now one win away from advancing to the championship series. The top four hitters in the Ole Miss lineup collected nine hits and drove in eight runs, led by Justin Bench, who was 4-for-6. The Rebels will play the winner of tomorrow's Arkansas-Auburn game on Wednesday night.

Notre Dame will play Texas A&M, and Auburn will face Arkansas in a pair of losers bracket games on Tuesday. The next day Oklahoma will then take on the winner of the first game while Ole Miss faces the winner of the second.
