Alabama added its ninth verbal commitment of the 2023 recruiting class when wide receiver Cole Adams of Owasso, Okla., announced his pledge Wednesday evening. He visited Tuscaloosa on June 3 and chose the Crimson Tide over numerous suitors, including home-state Oklahoma and Arkansas.
A four-star recruit, Adams is the No. 304 player in the class and the No. 5 player in the state of Oklahoma, according to the 247Sports Composite. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder has run a 100-meter dash time of 10.65 seconds, speed that will prove useful for a rebuilding Crimson Tide wide receiving corps.
Alabama’s class was off to a relatively slow start but has seen action start to pick up of late. Adams is Alabama's fifth 2023 commitment in a little over a week, a run headlined by the addition of five-star cornerback Tony Mitchell on Sunday.
