The Los Angeles Clippers re-signed forward Robert Covington to a two-year, $24 million deal with no options, sources confirmed to The Athletic Thursday. ESPN first reported the news.

Los Angeles acquired Covington, along with Norman Powell, in a trade with the Trail Blazers in early February; the team sent Eric Bledsoe, Justise Winslow and Keon Johnson to Portland in the deal. Covington, 31, averaged 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks in 23 games with the Clippers last season.

The 6-foot-7 Tennessee State product was named to the 2017-18 NBA All-Defensive Team. He has career averages of 11.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. He was previously playing on a four-year, approximately $46 million extension signed ahead of the 2018-19 campaign when he was with the Philadelphia 76ers, per Spotrac.
