Robert Williams will miss Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals for the Boston Celtics due to knee swelling and soreness, and Daniel Theis will start in his place.

Williams, who has been in and out of the Celtics’ lineup throughout the postseason due to multiple left knee injuries, scored five points with four rebounds in 20 minutes of Boston’s Game 2 victory over the Miami Heat.

Celtics coach Ime Udoka is going with Theis instead of Grant Williams, who had previously started in Williams’ place. Theis logged just six minutes in Game 2.

The Heat still expect Kyle Lowry (hamstring) and P.J. Tucker (knee) to play.
