Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Graham Potter has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss his side’s trip to Leicester City on Sunday.
Potter’s assistant, Billy Reid, took Brighton’s pre-match press conference on Friday and will take charge of the Leicester game.
Brighton Women’s head coach, Hope Powell, also tested positive for the virus earlier this week — despite the two teams operating in separate bubbles.
Potter’s side are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, including two 1-1 draws against Chelsea, and sit ninth in the Premier League.
After the trip to Leicester, Brighton then face an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Tottenham Hotspur, followed by a league game against Watford.
With 10 days remaining in the transfer window, Brighton have so far signed 18-year-old Kacper Kozlowski from Pogon Szczecin in Poland, while midfielder Moises Caicedo has been recalled from his loan spell at Beerschot in Belgium.Brighton head coach Graham Potter tests positive for COVID-19, will miss Leicester game - The Athletic View Story
