Will Zalatoris and Matt Fitzpatrick are the co-54 hole leaders at the U.S. Open. Both are searching for their first major championship at the Country Club on Sunday.

Zalatoris shot the round of the day with a three-under 67. He is searching for his first major championship and his inaugural victory on the PGA Tour. Zalatoris lost in a playoff at last month's PGA Championship to Justin Thomas.

Fitzpatrick fired a third-round 68. He won the U.S. Amateur at the Country Club, the site of this year's U.S. Open, back in 2013. Fitzpatrick was in the final group at the PGA Championship in May.

Sitting one back of Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick is Jon Rahm, who shot a third-round 71. Rahm went to the 18th hole with a one-shot lead but double bogeyed after his second shot failed to get out of the fairway bunker. Rahm is trying to win his second major championship, becoming the first golfer since Brooks Koepka to win back-to-back U.S. Opens.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler sits two back of the lead after shooting a third-round 71. Keegan Bradley and Adam Hadwin, tied at 2 under par, also sit two back entering Sunday. Rory McIlroy, the 2011 U.S. Open champion, sits three back of the lead, searching for his elusive fifth major championship.
